Good carriage horses don’t just happen, it takes countless hours of training and patience.

We love what we do, love our horses, and hope you enjoy your carriage experience as much as we do!

Dolly, our Belgian we found through a draft horse rescue in Maryland, she lives a good life with us.

Where do we find our horses?

when not entertaining, we’re training!

Horses are our passion and we search far and wide to find the right match for the horse and us. In 2021 we found Dolly through a draft horse rescue in Maryland, she enjoys an easier life here as a carriage horse. Safety and care is number one in our program. Our horses vary in age and breed, all have access to shelter and many acres of pasture to be happy horses.

In 2012 Diane opened The Gifted Horse Lodge, blending great food, bakery, a wild west gift shop, and lodging in the historical town of Fort Jones. After nearly 10 years of a running a successful

After nearly 10 years of a running a successful deli and lodging, in 2021 we sold the main building and expanded our gift shop into a vintage house next door, built in 1880! While waiting for your carriage ride meander through The Gifted Horse Lodge filled with authentic and timeless gifts.
